WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Value:
The Bible – as the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God.
Worship – believing mankind is created to worship the Creator – individually and collectively.
Evangelism – believing we have a Biblical mandate to share the gospel of Jesus Christ
Holiness in Lifestyle – believing it is what scripture commands, lived out in practical ways through our thoughts, words, and deeds.
The Church – as the family of God, instituted by God.
The Family – as defined in scripture believing it to be formed by God. Ephesians 5:21-25; 6:1-4.
Spiritual Gifts – believing they are for the edification of the church and not the individual, given by God in their entirety as referenced in scripture. Romans 12:3-8; I Corinthians 14:1-5
Personal and Ministerial Integrity – striving to live consistently, being accountable to God and each other.
The Call – upon the church to minister to those who are in need in our community and worldwide.
Mission Statement:
Exalt the Name and cause of Jesus Christ
Enjoy fellowship and membership in Christian community
Encourage members toward discipleship and personal growth
Equip members so they can minister to others
Evangelize by telling others about the good news of Jesus Christ, and
Enable the work of God through faithful giving and service.
OUR MINISTRIES
SPCF believes that children matter to God and that they are an integral part of our ministry and family. Children need to become Disciples of Christ by learning His word, developing a prayer life and being involved in Christian service.
Our mission is to be an extension of the family and partner with you in teaching your children the Word of God. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We want to provide the best learning environments for your children so that they will grow in faith by knowing, experiencing, and accepting the genuine love of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to partner with families to present the message of Jesus Christ in a way that is understandable, relevant, and practical to every young person.
We seek to provide an environment that is conducive for young people to meet other youth and be understood, belong, and contribute to the purpose and goals of the church body to reach out to our community. We strive to provide spiritual discipleship based on
the Bible. We desire to address issues pertinent to the life of young people living in today’s complex world. We hope to lead every young person in becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ.
We attempt to achieve these goals through various events that help to train our young people, help them experience the move of God in their lives through worship and service, and through building community with Christian fellowship.
Stony Point Christian Fellowship has many opportunities for adults to connect and grow in their faith. We offer a in-depth Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:15 and weekly Bible study small group classes on Wednesday Nights at 6:30.
Young Adult Ministry
Stony Point Christian Fellowship has started a ministry that focuses specifically on the young adults of our church body. A recognition of the limited social opportunities young adults have with Christian peers has been the main motivator for this ministry along with
a desire to provide fellowship opportunities for the young men and women of our own body of believers. Young Adults can meet on a weekly basis for Bible study and fellowship.
Women’s Ministry
The Ladies’ Ministry at Stony Point Christian Fellowship offers a number of opportunities for fellowship and fun. Ongoing throughout the year are groups offering a time to gather each month for fellowship and Bible study. In addition we have quarterly events for fellowship and growth. Check out our social media for upcoming events.
Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry at Stony Point Christian Fellowship offers a number of opportunity for Bible study and fellowship. Check our social media for upcoming events.
Friendship Class Ministry
A Ministry to Adults with Developmental Disabilities They have a Bible study each week on Sunday mornings during our worship service for the Friendship class as well as opportunities for them to get together for special events.
Here at Stony Point Christian Fellowship, we firmly believe in the Great Commission –
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”– Matthew 28:19 – 20. (NIV) |
